We are pleased to report a grant award to Tang Hall Employment, a York-based charity dedicated to providing employability support for individuals facing significant barriers to employment. Their primary focus is on assisting those with long-term experiences of addiction, mental health challenges—particularly where these have led to homelessness—or individuals with learning disabilities.
Tang Hall Employment offers a structured, multi-stage program designed to guide participants from initial engagement to sustained employment. The process begins with personalized meetings to understand individual needs, followed by participation in group sessions that emphasize engagement, skill-building, and social interaction through activities such as music, art, and workshops. As participants progress, they receive tailored support, including job coaching, mentoring, voluntary work placements, and opportunities to pursue relevant qualifications. The final stage involves supported paid employment, facilitating a smooth transition into the workforce.
By providing this comprehensive support, Tang Hall Employment empowers individuals to overcome personal challenges, develop new skills, and achieve meaningful employment, thereby fostering greater independence and integration within the community. We are proud to support Tang Hall Employment in their mission to create inclusive opportunities for some of York's most vulnerable residents.
